  4. Welcome to WAVE Interactive and  EROS.  Please note the
  5. following instructions and guidelines for installing and using EROS.

  9. INSTALLATION
  10. ------------------------------

  12. These programs use Apple's Quicktime to play back the movies you will
  13. experience. We've included a folder called "Place in System" which
  14. contains Quicktime 2.0 (if you don't already have Quicktime available
  15. to your System). Open the "Place in System" folder and drag the Quicktime
  16. related icons into your closed System Folder. These files will automatically be
  17. placed into their proper locations. We recommend that you run System 7.0 or later.
  18. Once you have placed the Quicktime files into your System Folder, restart your
  19. computer and double click on the "EROS" Icon to start The Program!
  20.  
  21. Expect a ten to thirty second delay after starting The Program (depending
  22. on the speed of your computer). While playing The Program, expect a slight
  23. delay after mouse clicking a button.

  29. We recommend the following for best performance:

  31. •     Disable any screen savers you may have running.
  32. •     Use System 7.0 or later, may run with Systems below 
  33.             System 7, but is not recommended.
  34. •     Use Quicktime 2.0
  35. •     5 Megabytes of FREE RAM (8 MB recommended highly).
  36. •    Macintosh LC or greater.
  37. •    68030 CPU or greater, may run with 68020, but is not recommended.
  38. •    13" Color Monitor with at least 256 colors.
  39. •    Double Speed CD-ROM Drive.

  42. Additional Comments:

  44. These programs run in 8 bit, 16 bit, or 24 bit color. To play these programs
  45. in other than 256 colors (8 bit), simply adjust your Monitor settings to either 
  46. Thousands or Millions of colors (Read your Apple User Manual for instructions
  47. on adjusting your Monitor "Color" settings). Keep in mind, you may require an
  48. additional Video Card or VRAM to facilitate playback at these higher color settings.
